Redesigned with Luxury and Style in Mind: The 2022 Lexus NX

The 2022 Lexus NX debuted with a redesigned look, advanced technology, and confident performance. If you’re interested in a Lexus NX, contact Lexus San Diego in San Diego, CA to check current availability, features, and options.

New Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid Performance

The innovations of the 2022 NX begin at its powertrain. The available NX 350 features a 2.4-liter turbocharged gas engine, generating 275-horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. The standard NX 250 offers a naturally aspirated gas engine generating an equally impressive 203-horsepower and 184 pound-feet. The NX 350h returns for 2022, with a Hybrid Drive System combining a gas engine with dual electric motors. This Lexus Hybrid Drive System offers powerful acceleration and smooth, eco-friendly performance overall.

The Lexus NX is available as a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV). The available NX 450h+ utilizes a 2.5-liter gas engine and electric motor system for a balance of power and fuel efficiency. You can switch between gas, hybrid, and EV modes as you drive. The NX 450h+ can travel up to an EPA-estimated 37 miles of all-electric range (when properly equipped). This SUV also features an onboard 3.3-kilowatt charger, with an available 6.6-kilowatt onboard charger for faster charging.

Brand-new features

The NX SUV introduces new technology to the brand as a whole. These forward-thinking features provide new levels of safety and convenience. One of these features is a next-generation multimedia system featuring a Human Machine Interface (HMI). The new media system also offers a virtual assistant feature that responds to voice commands for distraction-free infotainment. In terms of safety, NX models feature Lexus Safety System+ 3.0. Standard LSS+ 3.0 features include:

  • Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist
  • Left Turn Oncoming Vehicle Detection/Braking
  • Right/Left Turn Oncoming Pedestrian Detection/Braking
  • Oncoming Vehicle Detection added to the Pre-Collision System
  • Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management
