The Lexus LS 500 receives some fine-tuning and newly available accessories. The multimedia system now comes displayed on a standard 12.3-inch high-definition viewscreen. Balancing the LS 500 is the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). This new suspension maintains a smooth ride on any surface, with responsive damping performance. The standard powertrain of the Lexus LS 500 is a 416-horsepower V6 engine, generating 442 pound-feet of torque. This engine comes paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission.

The new Lexus 500h takes the style of the 500 and converts the performance to a Multistate Hybrid System. The standard Atkinson-cycle V6 engine comes balanced by dual electric motors, both powering a lithium-ion battery. Ultimately, the Lexus 500h generates 354-horsepower making it one of the most powerful hybrid cars on the market. With rear-wheel-drive, the LS 500h can jump from zero to 60 mph in almost 5.1 seconds.
